Abstract:
Causative structures have been studied quite a lot in researches in English and Vietnamese. Most of the works are descriptive, few works are comparative. This article focuses on comparing the semantic characteristics of the causative structures containing MAKE in English and LÀM in Vietnamese to point out the similarities and differences between these two languages.
